Sherocco Fest
visual identity for event

As my last university assignment, and part of a much larger thesis research on the topic of visual communication for queer spaces, I re-designed a past edition of the Sherocco Festival, an event taking place in Puglia near my original hometown.

The project centers on the use of three folk illustrations combining local and queer culture and by employing transitioning typography through motion graphics
To promote the event and raise funds with minimal costs, I designed a fanzine containing interviews centred on the topic of visual design, where I talked with and photographed individuals close to the event and its issues.
The cover of the fanzine (binded only with an elastic band) works also as a poster, by removing and unfolding the cover.
